Bring a Bike: The community of High River enjoys a 17+ kilometre paved recreation path exploring in an east to west direction. Great route for sightseeing in the community and for visiting the various parks, attractions and recreation facilities in High River, Alberta.

Bring Walking Shoes: The lake parks, canal and river all have paved paths for walking. When you plan to shop downtown why not walk the streets and visit the stores, boutiques and galleries. Much of High River is best enjoyed out of the car not in it.

Bring Binoculars: The lake parks, the wetlands and marsh areas in the High River region are prime for birdwatching. There are parks with sightseeing benches, lookout platforms and viewing blinds. None makes birding better than a good set of binoculars.

Attend a Rodeo: The community of High River historically and presently enjoy their rodeos. Not only was a member of the community part of developing the Calgary Stampede...but the community itself holds popular rodeos and agricultural events annually.
