Road Travel to Jasper:
Highway #16 (Yellow head Highway) is the main (paved) east-west highway route traveling to and from Jasper, Alberta. To the east is Hinton and to the west is the British Columbia border and Prince George. The Yellowhead Highway is a primary travel route connecting the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Highway #93 (Icefields Parkway) is a 232 kilometre north-south paved highway passing by glaciers, through mountain valleys and the Jasper and Banff National Parks. The route follows the Continental Divide and is the main travel route connecting the village of Lake Louise, Alberta with the town of Jasper, Alberta.
Highway #93a is a secondary highway running parallel to the Icefields Parkway leading to the Marmot Basin ski hill and recreation area. South end of highway is closed in the winter for cross country skiing.
Jasper by Air:
There is a local airport located 13 kilometres north of the community of Jasper. There are shuttle services, flightseeing companies and charter flights operating from the airport.

Train Travel:
Trains arrive in Jasper on a regular basis from across Canada. Services vary based the season. There is a train station in the centre of the village located on main street known as Connaught Drive. Train service is best from major centres like Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and so forth. Great way to see the wilderness country.
