Alberta, Canada golf courses provide an opportunity for visitors to golf within city limits and to golf outside city boundaries where the courses are surrounded by mountains, foothills, prairie grasslands, rivers, creeks, hoodoos and coulees.

There are around 300 Alberta golf courses. Most are located in or near communities scattered throughout central and south Alberta, Canada.

There are 18 hole and 9 hole courses. Some are private golf courses while most are open to the public. Some are easy access golf courses, traveling paved roads, near communities while others are remote country golf courses located at the end of gravel roads.

Many of the 18 hole golf courses provide the common services like a club house, golf club rentals, pull carts, snack bar and golf carts.

The higher end Alberta golf courses enjoy more perks and may include such things as a golf pro onsite, golf lessons, restaurant, locker rooms, practice putting greens and a driving range.

There are some very high end golfing resorts operating in Alberta, Canada. These specialized golfing vacation resorts may provide additional features like accommodations, a lounge, coffee shop, restaurant, internet, entertainment and boardrooms.

The Alberta, Canada golfing season will vary. Golf seasons start and finish based on location and weather. In general, golfing season begins in April or May and finishes in September or October.
